The Gallery In The Sky

The Gallery in the Sky at the Top of The World Observation Level features local Baltimore artists throughout the year, curated by BOPA's Senior Curator & Public Art Manager, Kirk Shannon-Butts. These exhibits give artists an opportunity to connect with the community and the many tourists that visit Baltimore each year.

The Third Future: A Self-Portrait: Abstract Artist Ainsley Burrows' Solo Exhibition

The Peak Artists Exhibition Series at Top of the World Observation Level's Gallery in the Sky presents: Abstract artist Ainsley Burrows' solo exhibition, "The Third Future: A Self-Portrait" on view September 12-November 18, 2024.

The Peak Artists Series launched in April with an exhibition by Korean American artist Tae Hwang. “We named it the Peak Artists Series to highlight Baltimore-based artists whose work explores the duality of being born outside the U.S. while now residing in it," says curator Kirk Shannon-Butts.

Burrows comes to Baltimore from Kingston, Jamaica, by way of Brooklyn, New York, and now lives in the neighborhood of Harwood. He is also a poet, musician, and performer who uses his experience and talents in these areas to add depth to his series-based abstract paintings.

On October 25, from 6:00 - 7:30 PM, join BmoreArt's Cara Ober and curator Jeffrey Kent in conversation with multidisciplinary artist Ainsley Burrows and "The Third Future: A Self-Portrait" curator Kirk Shannon-Butts at Top of the World Observation Level's Gallery in the Sky.
